About Coach

I was born and raised outside of Chicago where I grew up playing competitive hockey until I was 18 when I had to stop due to my fourth concussion. After this, I started lifting weights at a commercial gym doing “bro splits” with my buddies. However, it was not until my sophomore year of college when I transferred to CU Boulder where I found my love for all things fitness. Living in Boulder sparked my passion for triathlons, trail running, and functional fitness. Most days between classes you could find me at the rec center doing intense metcons I would makeup but on the weekends I would be hitting the pavement with friends from the triathlon team doing 50-100 mile bike rides and long trail runs.

Turning Point

One of the biggest turning points in my life was my sophomore year of high school when I was 285lbs and decided to make a change. I didn’t know much but knew that being active was the best place to start. The summer going into junior year of high school I would go to my local YMCA and do 1 mile of running along with basic lifting cause that’s all I knew. I realized to make a change in life sometimes you just need to start.

Motivation & Passion

I am passionate about coaching because I love helping others in their fitness journey. I think my diverse background in sports and fitness allow me to connect with all who walk through the door. I understand the level of commitment it takes to compete at a high level of sport but also wants to help those who just want to make small changes in their life. The most important thing for me is helping athletes find what THEIR RX is for the day!
