Washington native and Colorado resident as of 2020! I grew up competing in cross country and track and field starting in middle school, then continued running at the collegiate level from 2014 - 2018 at Saint Martin's University. When I'm not at the gym you probably can't find me because I'm at my desk drawing and listening to an audiobook.
After graduating from my running career, I made it a whopping three days into a 'rest month' before I signed up at the closest Crossfit gym to learn how to lift and see what exactly an AMRAP was. My first workout was a 500m Row time trial, and my second was Murph. A rough introduction made me feel that with Crossfit I could continue to push myself at a high level, and I've been lifting and competing ever since.
I've found my passion as a coach in helping athletes develop mental fortitude and maybe, MAYBE develop at least a little love for running. For me, encouraging athletes to embrace the feeling of a 30 minute WOD is what it's all about.
